Would you agree with a more Liberal approach to terrorism?

In other words, pull US troops out of Iraq and Afghanistan, get out of the Middle East completely. And instead of attack attack attack, focus all the money on safer security measures at home. In other words, fight terrorists here instead of there. In other words, go on defensive instead. If Obama or Clinton proposed this idea, would you consider voting for them?

4. Although I don't quite understand why we're still in Afghanistan, I feel you need to squash terrorism like a bug.
5. If we pulled out of the Middle East, the terrorists wouldn't have much to hate us for. And we wouldn't be in the business-- as we are now-- of producing MORE terrorists with our hamhanded and wrongheaded approach. The Liberal approach also consists of the following: 1) Intelligence work. 2) Winning hearts and minds. Both beat invading a country that didn't attack us.
6. They aren't proposing this. Afghanistan is necessary, but is not getting enough support thanks to Iraq. Pull out of Iraq, and put the troops in Afghanistan where the real terrorists are.

8. You can kill terrorists 007-style. You don't need huge armies invading entire countries to find a handful of camel jocks. CIA special ops teams working with Delta force, Navy Seals, and drones would do the job effectively. I wouldn't call that being on the 'defensive'.

Would you be asking this 12/7/1941? Why the hell do we want to fight them here? Fight over there, and hopefully the US military is never in a fair fight. US should always have the advantage.
10. Why try to put words in the horse's mouth when they don't exist? If so American voters are still pretty dumb on the analysis of what the candidates have said or laid out in their campaign sites, why confuse them even further?

16. Although I agree about getting troops out, they should still have CIA and other counter terrorism units working throughout the middle east. Intelligence works alot better than War. More people die of Cancer a year than terrorism, so they should focus more on the research of this and other diseases and illnesses. Healthcare should be a priority for our government to provide to every Citizen of the USA. Hillary Clintons plan forces everyone to Buy it. Which if they arent spending the Billions of dollars on War than I cant see why they cant use that money for something good. We as Americans pay taxes on every little thing we do. So she must be heavily medicated if she thinks everyone can afford Healthcare.

We need spies on the ground. We need people who speak Middle Eastern languages. We need sensible intelligence that protects the civil liberties of Americans. 19. I say we pull out of the middle east immediately. While we are at it can we pull our troops out of Germany because they have been there for 60 years, and Japan (same). We have had troops in Korea for 50 years and we need to bring them home immediately also. When the terrorists do decide to go back on the offensive here in America, do you think they are going to hit traditionally conservative states (which the media does not care about) or maybe big liberal states like New York and California?

22. Have you ever studied any history? Played checkers or chess? Any sport that involved strategy? Where did you learn the concept of hunkering down in a corner waiting for the enemy to come get you? We are talking about people who want us dead. DEAD. I'm not going live in fear in my home, taking chances that terrorists might come here when we can stop them there. The best defense is the damned best offense you can mount. If Obama or Clinton proposed this idea, we should lock them up.
23. No, but keeping our nose out or sovereign countries isn't so bad. I like the idea of investing in secure borders here. I think we should go after the perpetrators of 911, take it to them, where ever they are. The fact remains, we invaded a sovereign country, Iraq. It was a secure country with a dictator as it's leader. Just because Saddam was not what we approve of, doesn't give the US the right to invade. I was a Bush supporter and cheered silently when he stated he would take a "humble approach to foreign policy". I had enough of Clinton sticking his nose into Africa and Bosnia. We have our own country, it's financial broke, it needs attention. Lets secure the borders and keep a strong defense. I won't vote for a Democrat, so I'll hold my nose and vote for McCain.
