How do I help my grandparents safe at home?

My Grandfather was walking in his house when he just fell down, he didn't remember how it happened. He cut his leg pretty bad, how do other people help their grandparents stay safe at home?

1. Thats a really tough situation. I worked at a assisted living. Obviously alot of elders are expierencing Alzheimers. If they are living on their own invest in the necklace like MedAlert. What the person under me is talking about is med alert.
2. I saw on TV about a service--costs about a $ a day wherein they give the person a tag--worn around the neck and it can be pressed in an emergency and the company sends help/alerts/phonecalls to you/emergency/etc...Do a search on the internet
3. provide somebody to look after them while you're out.
