what is a safe home made way to remove facial hair without using a razor?

i mean home made as in using stuff at home to make a product not going out to buy something like nair because it irittates my face.

1. there are actually creams, like nair, that will get rid of it in minutes. not permenatley. you have to use it about once every 2-3 weeks. but it works really well, and leaves skin very smooth.
2. Wax... or those dipillatory things (spelling?)
