Safe Luxury

Is there a keystroke recorder that is safe to download onto a home computer?

I just want to make sure if I download something like this, that its not sending all my password info to the company that sold it to me. The one I'm looking at is Keystroke Recorder from SmartSoft. There is a free trial version, a $29 and a $49 version.

  1. Do a search for keylogger on google and you'll see there's a lot of stuff out there. The good stuff costs money though.
  2. To be honest, you may want to consider the ethical impliucations in doing this. Firstly, using such applications infers a lack of trust in those that are using the PC along with you. Secondly, many of the illicitness keyloggers and various other spyware applications are around as a direct result of such applications and their development for home and commercial "spy" purposes. Any who are using and/or encouraging the development of such software is also helping to enable the vast spyware problem we see today. I would seriously encourage you think very carefully before taking such actions
  3. yes try its free version, then u` ll decide. but my advise is that many key recorded softwares are spyware`s. its log ur all pressed keystrokes and send this file to predefined servers. my personal advice is not use any keystroke or key recorded software. God Bless u.
