How can I get my computer out of safe mode?

First off my computer at home is old, it has windows 98 (yeah it should be in a museum) I don't know how it got into safe mode, but I went to the help menu and followed all the directions to take it out of safe mode, but it won't get out. The directions said to go to the start menu, and click shut down, then click restart, then click ok and hold the ctrl key (or f8 for some computers) and it would take me to the menu to get it out of safe mode but all it does is restart the computer and it's still in safe mode. I've tryed just restarting it and that dosen't work either.

1. dont hold f8 , restart your computer and press 1248671284 times sometimes computers be stupid.
2. Just restarting the computer should get you into regular mode.

5. when ever the computer is rebooting hit the f2 button. then it will take you to the settings. then you should sellect the start normally button. that is why. if it does not work, there might be something wrong with your computer.
6. Choose Start Windows Normally, not Safe Mode. Or just dont press any key when you restart your computer.
7. Click Start Click Run Type: MSCONFIG Press Enter I don't have Windows 98 anymore, but there should be a tab that asks how you would like to start windows and offers the options to do a Normal Startup.
8. our Operating System (Win 98) may be corrupt/ some of its important system files may be accidently deleted or some of the installed device drivers may be corrupt. Please TRY RE-INSTALLING THE WINDOWS 98 from a windows 98 installation disk.
9. After start up commences in the bios are the instructions when they show quickly press the f8 or whatever and it should go to start up bios you will finf you have chosen safe mode change it with a click to normal and then let your computer start .Do not go to restart it should just commence it start after you have altered the safe mode.
10. If you have tried lot so the last thing to be done is re install the window 98. The problem is solved for ever.
11. When your computer is booting press F8, then you will get a menu with a list of choices. The first one will be normal mode select that and press enter. But if it still does boot in Safe Mode then there is problem with your device drivers or system settings.
