How do I keep my computer and emails safe from ad attachments?

I'm getting fed up with rotten buggers (please excuse the French - it could have been worse!!) that attach ads both good and bad - to emails etc. I only find out when family/friends contact me saying they had received my emails with unwanted ads. They've even resorted to have taken our full names off our joint email and connecting them to porn sites!! We have been absolutely horrified and disgusted. It's getting to the stage where you want to sent emails but think is it going to be safe? We took our full names off and just put initials - but that didn't stop them as my cousin in England informed me that she got one today! Now we've changed companies. Is there anything else we can do? We have plenty of good virus and spyware protection for our computer. My computer is my 'window to the world' as I have a medical condition which keeps me at home. They are just ruining my enjoyment. I've even stopped Forwards now. I enjoyed getting them, but now that's ended also. It's just not fair! Mary

2. Udate your antivirus and scan your coputer in safe mode. After you remove virus, I recommend you use firefox browser. It is safer than IE. It can prevent viruses such as worm,trojan and etc. The newest official edition of firefox can be downloaded from http://www.mollzia.com
