Can you download microsoft office for your computer via the internet and it must be free and 100% safe?!?

can i download the microsoft office pack from the internet if i am using a windows xp home edition computer?what version should i download...tell me all..the best answer gets 10 points...help please.. i am using a genuine windows copy....home edition for precise...

1. you cannot download a legal version of microsoft office for free, if there are sites that provide it then they are breaking the law
2. I think you have to purchase MS Office for a physical copy. I am not familiar with any place on the net that you can download it for free... unless it is a bootleg version - which is BAD! Do a search on eBay and find yourself a copy to purchase.
3. Doh!!! It is illegal to download MS Office products FREE!!! You CAN download it but you will need a valid key to patch and update the software. Remember, "nothing is FREE", "you get what you pay for", etc.
4. if you look around microsoft.com you'll be able to try it for 60 days I belive. it is illegal to get it for free and if it comes out to be bad it will ruin your computer.
